Life Transition Coaching in Colorado Springs
Navigate change with clarity, confidence, and purpose
Life is full of transitions—some expected, some sudden. The end of a relationship, a career shift, retirement, or any significant change can leave us feeling unmoored. But to be alive is to transition. When we resist change, we limit our growth, and sometimes we come to a standstill.
Transitions stir up a wide range of emotions—anything from excitement and anticipation to overwhelming anxiety. They challenge us to let go of what we’ve known and step into something new.
As a life transition coach, I help clients navigate these pivotal moments with clarity, structure, and grace. Together, we work through the emotions and uncertainties, so you can move forward with confidence, hope, and meaning.
While climbing the Grand Teton with my son Nate, we hit a bottleneck at 12,000 feet and a storm was closing in. Nate found an alternate route, but it required crossing a massive gap. To move forward, I had to let go, stretch beyond comfort, and trust the next hold. That moment became a lasting metaphor for me: transitions are scary because they demand release. But staying stuck—clinging to what's familiar—can be even riskier. Sometimes the only way forward is through fear.
This mirrors a truth echoed in Buddhist thought: our suffering comes from attachment. When we refuse to release what we’re holding onto—whether it’s an identity, a relationship, or a sense of certainty—we suffer. But if we can let go and reach forward, we can embrace what’s next. We only begin to truly live when we learn to embrace life’s transitions, whether they’re chosen or thrust upon us.
